The public birth of the Institute of World Culture in Santa Barbara began with a deeply stirring and visionary address given on July 4, 1976 by Shri Raghavan Iyer. This world-embracing discourse linked the Founding of the IWC to the foundations of the American experiment as expressed in the Declaration of Independence of 1776, and pointed to possibilities of a future world civilization uniting all humanity into a harmonic global cosmopolis called the “City of Man”.
Join us for a brief biographical sketch of Shri Raghavan Iyer, followed by a replay of this inspirational oration. Discussion, fellowship and refreshments to follow.
